Beta Program FAQ
What is the Beta Program?
The beta program allows friends, family and other invited users to test the application before its official release and provide feedback to help us improve.
Who can have access to the Beta Program?
We are welcoming feedback from everyone at this time, please contact support to access our beta program. We reserve the right to stop accepting new beta users if we have the need. support page.
What is that TestFlight application I need to download for the beta.
TestFlight is an online application that is used by developers to distribute and manage their beta program. For more information, please check https://testflight.apple.com
General FAQ
When will Tap Map release?
Tap Map is currently in closed Beta while we take on feedback to improve the user experience. The Tap Map official release will follow once we and our beta users are satisfied it is ready for release.
How do I get an account
Tap Map gives you the option to create a user in the profile settings (tap the avatar icon), using either your email address or phone number to register. The app will guide you through the creation of your account and your first steps with the application. Tap Map also provides an anonymous, account-free version with non-invasive ads to support our development.
How do I get rid of the Ads?
Tap Map’s basic model is ad-supported which allows us to continue to develop and improve. To remove ads simply create an account and upgrade to the premium subscription model.
What platform does Tap Map support?
Currently we support iOS and iPad OS.
When will Android OS be supported?
At this time we are focussing our efforts on improving the experience on Apple platforms. Once we are satisfied with the user-experience on these platforms we will start looking at migrating it onto Android. We appreciate your patience.
Does the app supports Dark Mode?
Yes, Tap Map supports both Light Mode and Dark Mode.
What language does Tap Map support?
Tap Map today focuses on English (UK), English (US) and French (FR). Additional languages will be added at a later time. Contact our support team if you want to volunteer to translate it into your preferred languages.
What is the weight of each piece of information for suggestions
We are always modifying the algorithm to ensure the best result, so we are not sharing that information at this time.
Is my data secure?
Yes, all data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Do I need to share my location?
For better results, you should authorize the application to allow access to location data. By sharing your location with the app, it enables the app to show you relevant results to your location and direct you to them. We do not store location information on the user.
Can I delete my account
Go to profile settings and select “Delete Account”.
